Wanna Win US$500,000? 0

All you have to do is to expose your most disgraceful scandal and rip your family’s dignity into a million pieces. Yepp, that’s what ‘game’ shows on Channel 5 has turned into.

And it’s not only a show from the US. The Indonesians are tearing apart families as well, on national TV!

Frankly, it’s pathetic, desperate and irresponsible. Seriously! On the ‘contestants’ part, are they really such low lives that they are willing to put a price tag on their families’ dignity? The game show doesn’t highlight their strength, wit or intelligence. It simply degrades, not only themselves, but their families!

Both the game producers and contestants seem to be desperate to get what their hearts desire. But I really feel the game producers are irresponsible to propose such ‘competition’. And for Channel 5 to allow such a show to be aired on TV…I’m lost for words.

While the government is trying to promote work-life-balance, pro-family job conditions, family planning for newly weds (bla…bla…bla…) such a show doesn’t help at all. In fact, it makes people wonder if such shows will eventually hit our shores and our families might be tempted to hang out our dirty laundry.

Looking at our other neighbour, Malaysia, the burning down of churches is yet another disgraceful act by irresponsible people. It’s really embarrassing to be associating them to the Muslim community. And the fact that it happened in Malaysia, where majority of the population is made up of Malay/Muslims, just makes it harder to run away from being associated.

To date, 9 churches have been destroyed by idiots who find the Christian’s use of the word Allah offensive. For goodness sake, it only confuses those who lack the knowledge and understanding of their own religion. If anyone is at fault for the ‘confusion’, it’s ourselves!

So, the Lions lost to Iran 1-3 in front of President SR Nathan. Actually, within the first 15 minutes, the Lions were also down by 2 goals. Defensive errors and clever (faking) play by the Iranians got the game to their advantage with the Chinese referee clearly losing the plot. Buck up, Lions!
