Strength Of A Woman 1

One of my last posts was about my 9 years of faith with Love. And in the days leading to that significant date, I wrote one poem a day dedicated to Love. And it seems like for every poem I made, there is another woman who asks me to write one for her.

That woman is Love’s sister. And I have to admit, it was only this morning that I realised she is probably the most under-rated woman in my life.

I still remember the first time I bumped into her, or she bumped into me. It was at Delifrance, as I was waiting to chat with Love. She asked me if I was there to disturb her sister. I can’t remember what I said, but I remember thinking she was not funny. Haha!

Anyway, I see her as the pillar of strength for Love and her family. Some people may see her as tough and rugged. But she actually has a soft-centre (or is it center?). She takes life in her stride and faces all challenges with a smile. Although I understand at times it was hard for her to stay smiling.

While my faith with Love developed over the years, I also learned a lot about her. The sacrifices that she has made for her family and sister, is something Love can never repay. Her selflessness is an inspiration. She keeps her trying times in silence within herself and exudes joy through her seemingly carefree attitude.

Carefree but not careless, she has no qualms in dealing with matters from her heart. Always sincere and seeking nothing in return, she takes time to appreciate every little gifts that comes from everyone around her. Probably, it takes more hearts to provide her strength compared to the number of hearts she is providing strength to.

So, having realised this, I made a video for her. It was just after my dawn prayers that it got to me. I was thinking so hard the past few days about what to write for her. Indeed, I was looking but didn’t see. To Nur-Akmar, thank you for the sacrifices you have made, and the things you have done for Love and I. Enjoy.

Such a revelation, that I finally have something worthy to post on my blog. Initially I thought of posting something related to the Muslim fasting month of Ramadhan. I made a video to welcome Ramadhan. Here it is.

To fellow Muslims, may your fast this year be better than the last and all your deeds accepted by Allah.
