Today, Love and I celebrate 9 years of faith! Since the first time we met, it has been a beautiful journey, despite the bumps that we face along the way. Each time one of us falls, there is alway the other half who will pick us up and give us the strength and motivation to walk on.

10 days ago, I started writing short poems for Love. And today, I compiled the photos of Love and us into a music video. I wish to now immortalise the poems and video right here in my blog.

1. Never Too Late

It was our first date and I was late
Yet you had the patience to stay and wait
Despite my ignorance and frequent debate
To be there for me, you never failed

Our journey has seen some tests along the way
With you in my heart, three words I always say
Through my thoughts and actions I wish to express
How much I love you, more everyday, and never less

In 10 days’ time, our love shall ignite
The testimony of our hearts as we unite
For 9 years together since we lit the fire
You are, my Love, my one and only desire

2. Our Blissful Journey

Before we held hands for the very first time
I never knew how soft a human touch can be
It felt as if, for a while, we were divine
Floating in a heaven, only we could see

An act of affection that continued to grow
Days, weeks, months and now over years
The devotion we’ve made continued to glow
Bringing light in times and places of darkness

We chose a path only we could share
A path we believe will lead us to glory
Our unity is strength in the way we care
May we be blessed throughout our journey

3. You’re The Only One That Matters To Me

It didn’t matter that I had to go away
To only meet you on weekends or Sunday
You held our faith and kept our promise
To stay true to our hearts and remember our kiss

It didn’t matter that I chose a harder path
To pursuit my dreams and and to battle the draft
You gave me strength when I felt down
To get me back up and lift off the ground

It didn’t matter that I chose my friends
To be happy myself on football weekends
For every choice that didn’t seem to matter
It matters to me, my love, that we be happy
Forever and ever after

4. Sent From Heavens Above

So many times I’ve whispered to you
So many more times you’ve replied gracefully
And each time we exchanged our “I Love You”
The more we mean it wholeheartedly

So many memories my heart can keep
I cannot find the right words to say
For each night before I go to sleep
I remember I missed you throughout the day

9 years of trust has brought us here
9 years of faith has defined our love
I surrender my heart to you, my dear
For you’re the only guardian angel
God has sent me from heavens above

5. We Held Our Promise

Since the very first time I saw her
I sensed a connection I couldn’t quite figure
As if the angels were listening over
We started dating a few months later

Today it seemed as if we were fated
Some even wondered if we met earlier
This bond of comfort that we created
Has grown so much and only gets better

In times of sadness we’ve held our promise
In times of joy we’ve shared the laughter
I thank you, my love, my source of bliss
May you be my angel, for ever and after

6. Surrender My Heart To An Angel

Saw a shooting star last night and so I said a prayer
“Lord, bless me with strength, wisdom and sweetener”
He sent his best angel, so beautiful she made me fell
Over & over till my heart stopped, finally I could tell

As if a new breath of life was blown into me
With her I feel so comfortably warmer
Each night I thank the Lord for His gift
An angel who makes me very good dinner

From 1 to 9 she’s held my hand
In 5 days’ time we shall embrace
A perfect unity too delicate to comprehend
The beautiful Angel, my blissful grace

7. I Dedicate My Devotion

Our unity has continued to gracefully blossom
Into an undeniable bond that fits in heaven
Even my sister and nieces are off their bottoms
To rally behind for an official commitment

As we step closer into the epiphany
Being true to our hearts and words of passion
For every act of love you’ve given to me
I wish to dedicate to them my devotion

It may seem long for me to take
Our magical touch of loving embrace
To you my love, a promise I shall make
Your hand I shall seek, at a time of grace

8. Glows Over The Distance

I’d have to admit when I fell in love
It was because I felt you are pretty
Over time and true enough
It was from within that I saw that beauty

Your beauty glows in every way
Even at a distance I can feel your warmth
Every day I’m proud to say
A beautiful angel will be my wife

Tonight we shall see how Arsenal will play
Whether Le Prof has perfected his game
Just 3 days now before we can say
9 lovely years, Shaza is what we call it by name

9. A Trust I Treasure

You stood by me when I made my choice
To leave my job and form Ed Borhan
You gave me strength and daily rejoice
You gave me belief, right from day one

You stayed with me when I was ill
And made me soup to help me recover
You let me live with freedom at will
A trust I cherish and treasure forever

You fought all odds to keep us strong
To protect the castle we build together
We kept our faith and corrected our wrong
May we be in love, forever and ever
