Beaten But Upbeat 0

Was at the Liz to join fellow Gooners for a charity auction where we raised S$2,800.00 for girl Charmaine; an Arsenal Singapore cap signed by Robin van Persie and a 2005 home jersey signed by the FA Cup winners.

Right after that was the live match against Manchester City, which we lost 4-2, so it hasn’t been a good trip to the city of Manchester this season.

It’s the final weekend before Aidilfitri, so there’s going to be a lot of cleaning up to do. I’m basically down to my last buck and really need to source out for a place before my lease ends this month. I’m hoping for someone to help me get through the month of October by letting me crash at his/her place while I gather funds and get an apartment.

I’m also thinking of organising a garage party to make some money. I also don’t think I need to bring everything that’s at the office now to the new place. Even if I need some of those things later, I’m sure there’ll be good income in the coming months to buy new ones.

Primarily, I need to give my 2 kitties a place to stay. Bringing them back to my family’s place won’t be a great idea considering I have infant nieces in the house. And Coby and Lucky aren’t exactly the most well-behaved cats around.

It’s really a testing period for me. While the company is in transition, the festive period round the corner and the lease ending at the end of the month – this is probably the craziest time of my life. But I’m quietly confident there is a silver lining at the horizon. There are several plans in the making, so while the money may not be instant, there is a bright future ahead.

Future is however, still a promise to be fulfilled. The bills for today needs to be paid and there are other responsibilities to be accounted for. I need to start making small amounts in the coming days to get some cashflow going. While the other bigger projects would come later and possible help launch a new plan for 2010, the in-between days are crucial to survive.

OK, I don’t really understand that last sentence, but I know what I meant, and perhaps you do too.

There’re some noisy construction at the building just beside the current office and I have to say it’s bloody annoying. They are basically breaking down the whole building and re-constructing it back up. I suppose there’s a new owner cause ever since I was here, the building hasn’t been maintained at all.

Anyway, I need a new environment to work in and develop my 2010 plans. I hope to be able to settle into a residential area where it is accessible and cheap. So many services for corporate are just too expensive for a start-up and one-man show like me. With the economy still in the looms, it’s quite an uphill to sustain.

Luckily for me, I don’t have inventory for my business and I can fluidly evolve my business model. It’s all about what I have learned throughout my years of experience and turning that input into a packaged service. I believe I have plenty to offer, and there is demand for my brain. I just need to find the right market.

I’m done ranting. Lots of cleaning up to do still. Cheers!
